The Full Circle Theater Company Presents: Pound

Pound
by Sean O'Leary
directed by Joseph Jurand

Ezra Pound revolutionized the world of American and English poetry in the early 20th century. Then during World War II he broadcast pro-Fascist propaganda on Italian radio. After the war, he was charged with treason, but the court found him incompetent and sent him to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, the psychiatric institution in Washington, DC, where he spent 12 years against his will. Local playwright Sean O'Leary draws a compelling portrait of this complex character, in an award-winning play that reviewers have called "A wonderful piece of writing that challenges the audience to think on multiple levels." We are pleased and honored to present the play's regional premiere.
